Designed by German architect Henry Mursinna for wholesale grocer John Venneman,
This Italianate mansion has proudly overlooked the Ohio River since 1869.
The interior retains it’s original charm with 6 fireplaces, hand-carved marble mantles, intricate archways and corbels. The main feature being the 55 foot Italian marble central hallway, and a wall sized mural depicting Evansville in 1850.
The crowning touch to the exterior is the 4 story tower, imitating the church bell towers or “campaniles” found in Italy.
Casa Finale, also known as Venneman Wright House is part of the Riverside Historic District and is listed on the National Register Of Historic Places.
